About this place
I wanted a place that was mine on the internet. Somewhere to keep things I create, collect, and love — without the ads, the algorithms, and the noise that follow you everywhere else online. Social media has a way of making your own life feel like content. This doesn't. I saved it as a bookmark on my phone homepage so it opens like an app: by me, for me, and for whoever else wants to stop in.
I live in East Tennessee, in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. There is so much beautiful nature here and I am still learning to slow down enough to really take it in. That's part of what this site is for — noticing it, and sharing it.
Food feels like a representation of consumption. It can be eaten simply, healthily, humbly. It can also be a source of hurt when you aren't mindful of what you ingest. I think about this more with water than anything else. Just drinking water and being aware of how fortunate I am to have it in plenty — how miraculous it really is — helps keep me grounded. Basic ingredients, whether that's what you spend your time, your money, or your calories on, are usually the most economical and the most rewarding.
Being in the moment in a beautiful place with people you love, nurturing yourself and others, is worth dedicating time to.
Just how simple it is to love and enjoy life. You don't need much. The simplest things — a good meal, clean water, a walk outside, the people around you — are enough. More than enough, really.
This site was built in conversation with Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. The design, the writing, and the meal plans all came out of a real back and forth between us. I'm saying so because I think there's something honest about that — and because I came to Claude specifically for its ethical approach. It felt right to build something intentional with a tool I actually trust.
